When planning out the makeup and spikes for this look, I wanted each instance of metal/chains to be prominently featured. I spent several hours on this makeup look, experimenting with several distinct chain and spike placements that would best evoke punk aesthetics with a cosmic air about them.
// chainlink tears is intended to depict the beauty that emerges from pain. Unlike conventional tears, chainlink tears cannot be dried and, thus, occupy a state of permanence on the face. Despite the permanence of these tears, the subject empowers themself and adorns their face in metal and chains. Via the integration of pain, beauty is revealed.
